The host was accesible when contacted, room excellent, clean and near terminal train station. Is a great place to stay

Fantastic location and beautifully decorated place
The location can't be beaten for proximity to the main Santa Maria Novella station, as well as bus stops for Fiesole etc. Also very near the Mercato Centrale and only about 15 minutes' walk from the main sites of the city. The room was decorated beautifully with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom (we had the room with external bathroom) was clean and large with a good shower. Communication with the owner was good and it was nice to be met in person on check-in.
The external bathroom was fine because we knew we had booked this, but just for information if you do book this room, the bathroom is at the opposite end of the corridor to the bedroom so you do have to pass all the other rooms to get there. Wasn't a problem for us but may be for others (i.e. it's not right outside the room). Some coffee / tea in the room would also have been a nice touch - there was a kettle.
